This week learned a lot about optimizing ad performance. Google Analytics and Google AdWords are very powerful tools. I’ve made efforts to get more specific in my ad campaigns. I don’t necessary want to just get a lot of people to see my site, but I want to find people who are interested in purchasing my product.
As I’ve started a campaign, I chose 10 keywords that I felt would be most effective. I have $100 to spend on my campaign over the next few weeks. Things are going to get interesting as my site has been published for a few weeks with relatively no traffic. Now that my campaign is activated and I’m paying to advertise, I’m interested to see what type of difference this will make.
I’ve learned that I need to make things as easy as possible for the user. My site visitors need to always feel as if they know where they are going. I’m planning on making a few changes in my color scheme, and Google Analytics will tell me who is visiting what page, how long they spend there, and where they leave.
